Providence, a multidiscipline engineering and environmental consulting firm with corporate headquarters in Baton Rouge and offices in Austin, Houston, and Houma, seeks a full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk for its Baton Rouge, Louisiana office.  This position will report directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager.


Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Work closely with Project Managers

Enter new project data into Deltek Vantagepoint

Issue invoices to customers

Upload invoices to customer invoicing web sites

Enter daily deposits of checks and ACHs

Process credit card payments

Prepare and issue A/R statements and letters for delinquent accounts

Contact client Accounts Payable for payment discrepancies and/or collections


Desired qualifications:


  • 2 or 4 year degree. Experience will Deltek Vantagepoint may take the place of a degree


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Effective organizational skills including the ability to work independently and consistently achieve deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to retain training of tasks with several steps that must be followed the same way consistently

    Initiative - Volunteers readily; Asks for and offers help when needed
